Call for nominations: Insurance Councils Appeal Board

The Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) is seeking nominations to fill four positions of general insurance agents to serve on the Insurance Councils Appeal Board (ICAB). This is a unique opportunity for licensed professionals to give back to their industry and play an important role in protecting Alberta consumers.

Why should I nominate someone?

The ICAB is an independent body, separate from the Insurance Councils, and provides an impartial review of appeals to Decisions by the Councils. Serving on the ICAB is a chance to contribute to the integrity and regulation of Alberta’s insurance industry. • Contribute an impartial perspective to decisions that impact Alberta’s insurance sector.
  • Give back to your community and your industry.
  • Bring your experience to the table and provide input on compliance matters.
  • Strengthen public trust by upholding high standards, professionalism, and accountability.

Compensation is paid on a per diem basis. Expenses directly associated with ICAB business will be reimbursed.
