Notice: Limited Onsite Examination Availability

The Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) and the insurance industry have been deemed essential services during the COVID-19 Pandemic.  Alberta Insurance Council has resumed the scheduling of exam sittings with limited seating capacity due to social distancing and gathering requirements.  Seats are available beginning Monday, May 4th.  Please note: Examination sittings are only being offered at the locations listed below.

If you have medical or other conditions which require special consideration, please inform us by email prior to registration. A signed medical note will be requested. NO exceptions to this requirement will be made at normal examination sittings.

As of October 19th, 2020 the Calgary exam centre will no longer be able to take cheques or cash payments.

The last exam date in 2020 will be December 22nd. Exams will resume on January 5th.

HLLQP exams will run Monday – Thursday. Starting December 1st there will be no exams on Mondays. The last day of the HLLQP exams in 2020 will be December 22nd.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 Instructions:

  • Please reschedule or cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well or have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Test takers with visible cold or flu-like symptoms will not be permitted.
  • When you arrive on campus, DO NOT enter through the main college entrance (unless arriving by bus). Instead, turn west (right) before the bus loop and proceed around the college to park in Lot GC (map available at lethbridgecollege.ca/testing)
    • To pay for parking, you can download the Honk Mobile app in your app store, or pay online at https://www.honkmobile.com/hourly/zones/5788
    • ONLY if arriving by bus, enter the college through the main college entrance. Check in with the Security desk and contact Testing Services to arrange an escort to our office.
  • Once parked, call Testing Services at 403-320-3368 to let us know you’re here.
  • When directed, walk from Lot GC through the marked courtyard to the Testing Services entrance (map available at lethbridgecollege.ca/testing).
  • Leave all belongings in your vehicle or at home because our lockers are currently unavailable. The only items you should bring are photo ID, vehicle keys and items permitted for your exam.
  • You will be met at the Testing Services entrance by our staff, who will bring you to our office for your exam.
  • Face masks are required for the duration of your exam. You must supply your own mask.
  • No one other than the test taker will be allowed into the building.
  • If your exam(s) allows breaks, washrooms are available for washroom breaks. All other breaks will need to happen outside or in your vehicle as there will be no other space available in the building for breaks.

LLQP exams occur on every Tuesday and General/Adjusters exams on every other Wednesday. Exams will not be administered if Keyano College is closed for a statutory holiday. The last exam dates in 2020 will be December 1st (LLQP) and December 2nd (General & Adjusters).

Once students book exams online with the AIC, they must go to www.keyano.ca/bookexam to book with the Keyano College at least 2 days prior to test date.

Please note that exams in Fort McMurray have additional invigilation fees ($125 per person) which can be made by calling the Office of the Registrar at (780) 792-2688. Please forward the payment confirmation number to testing.services@keyano.ca, with your full name, phone number and the name of the test so the college is able to update their booking with the information.

LLQP Exams: The 3rd Wednesday of every month
Due to the fluid nature of business in these COVID-19 times, if for any reason Medicine Hat College cannot accommodate your test date, Alberta Insurance will be contacted immediately to advise you of the change.

  • Touchless debit/credit payment is preferred. Cash is also accepted.
  • Exam fees are $35.00/exam

Important COVID 19 Instructions:

  • Please reschedule or cancel your appointment if you are not feeling well or have been in contact with a confirmed or suspected case of COVID 19 in the last 14 days.  Test takers with visible cold or flu-like symptoms will not be permitted to write their exam.
  • Please come to the main entrance at the college and check in with security. Photo Identification is required to gain entry to the college.
  • If possible, please leave all unnecessary items in your car or at home.  The only item that is required is photo ID.
  • At this time Medicine Hat College has not implemented face coverings as mandatory, however, face masks are recommended in common areas such as hallways, washrooms, etc…
  • No one is allowed to accompany a test taker to the testing centre.
