Alberta Insurance Council Strategic Plan 2011-2013
In 2007 the Ministry of Finance and Enterprise approached the Alberta Insurance Council to seek their participation in a Program Audit. The purpose of the Program Audit was to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the governance structure of the Alberta Insurance Council, as well as the Life Insurance Council, General Insurance Council and the Insurance Adjusters Council, and to review and evaluate the Council's achievement of their obligations and objectives. The Alberta Insurance Council was pleased to participate in this process and a Request for Proposal to conduct the audit was issued by the Department of Finance and Enterprise. The firm of Myers Norris Penny LLP. was awarded the contract.
